Meet Coach Cody

What started as a way to get fit for baseball tryouts in high school, ended in a life long passion for pushing myself to be the best endurance athlete I can be. Fast forward 20 years and I’m still striving to meet new challenges as a runner and a triathlete. I was a Division 1 track and cross country athlete for the University of Charlotte NC and I’ve raced competitively since 2006. I have a broad background as an athlete, wining or finishing in the top 10 of everything from 5k, to obstacle course races, and now triathlons.

I bring that same passion and commitment as a personal trainer and running coach; with over 6 years of experience in the gym and 4 years as a high school cross country and track coach. I’ve worked with youth, high school, college athletes, as well as adult weekend warriors to build better strength, endurance, and performance in competition and everyday life. Currently I am a Coach with Yorktown High School Cross Country and Track & Field.

I’m a big believer in less is more with my athletes, where consistency and intensity are the keys to unlocking better performance and less setbacks. I use a combinations of methods through coaches such as Jack Daniels and Brad Hudson to build programs that make sense for where you are as an athlete to build a road map to where you want to be and I’ve used this successfully for all of my athletes as well as my self.

Agility and Conditioning for Adolescent Athletes

Coach Cody is our exclusive coach for working with younger athletes. Focusing on acceleration, top end speed and multi-direction movements skills. These skills are applicable for any sport such as basketball, tennis, soccer, lacrosse, track & field athletes. Cody has experience with many local athletic club sports managing their group trainings as well as working one on one with individual athletes and their needs.

(Note: for all adolescent athlete sessions parents or guardians are required to attend/observe the session.)
